Wednesday, May 6, 2009I got this letter from a reader. He read my Electroinc Design column and figures I must be wise. (I have stayed technical all mt career, not very wise if you ask me) Still it would be nice to help the kid out. here is a jjjjfd of his e-mail

I have graduated (BS degree in electronics) and I intend to specialize in Analog design. I have two options:-...
Another Fibonacci Contest
Tuesday, March 31, 2009I am stuck on the Fibonacci series. A Wireless USP LP Evaluation Kit for the first to answer this.
If F(0) = 0 , F(1)= 1, etc
Solve for n
F(n-1)< googol <F(n)
When Fibonacci couldn't sleep,
He counted rabbits instead of sheep.
Congradulation Daniele Lenzi you win
Wednesday, March 25, 2009Daniele Lenzi was the first to answer correctly and so he wins the prize. e-mail me your address and I will send your prize. (dwv@cypress.com)
Yes the answer was that the equation generates the fibonacci sequence. And vishal was also correct that it used the golden ratio (Phi). You cab have something too.

Engineering is alive and kicking in the USA
Tuesday, March 24, 2009I send a lot of time visiting Universities trying to get them to use PSoC in the classes. I meet a lot of students who are very interested in Engineer but frankly don;t know if it makes sense for a carreer. I used to think that the day would come when kids would no longer want to consider such a path. After going throught the Minneapolis airport I no longer worry.
After using...
Quicke Contest.
Tuesday, March 24, 2009I have some hardware here:
i2C USC Bridge Kit
Cap Sense Express
PSoCEval 1 Kit.
These are all for the first person that can decipher the following equation
F(n)= [((1+sqrt(5))/2)^n - ((1-sqrt(5))/2)^n]/sqrt(5)
Hint: George Saul talks about the rabbit effect when it comes to using PSoC. He wasn't the first.
So be first to enter and be the big weiner.
