It started when our Field Applications Engineer (FAE) in Austin got married and moved to Washington.  The Minneapolis FAE wanted to move to Texas so we are short an FAE in Minneapolis.

As a FAES your job would be to knock down any technical barriers that keep customers from giving us money.  The job will have 25% travel.

Ideal candidate has used and loves PSoC.  Should have proven experience in the development of micro controller based systems.  USB experience a plus.  Wireless would hurt.

Should be technical yet able to work with people.   (Sometimes very slow people)

• Directly supports top customer accounts in region (SD, ND, MN, W. WI, IA, NE, KS, MO, S. IL)

• Focused on driving Design Wins and Design Win Revenue of Cypress’ proprietary products.

• Frequent travel within regional area as required.

• Develops in-depth technical expertise on Company’s key products.

• Develops close customer relationships within region.

• Presents technical workshops and seminars.

• Coaches rep and channel FAE resources to support tier 2 and 3 customers.

• Works closely with Regional Sales Manager to:
    − Plan and implement rep and channel FAE development.
    − Develop strategic and tactical plans for account penetration.
    − Manage DW process, opportunity reviews, accounts reviews & rep reviews.

• Manages use of design resources (CYpros, Solution Centers, etc.) to expedite design-in success and accelerate rate of design-wins.

• Applies business knowledge to prioritize opportunities and allocate resources.
