In order for the PSoC microcontroller to meet the specifications for Internal Main Oscillator frequency accuracy and Internal Voltage Reference accuracy, proper settings must be loaded in the associated trim registers. The trim register settings are different for 5 V operation (5.25 V ≥ VCC ≥ 4.75 V) and 3.3 V operation (3.6 V ≥ VCC ≥ 3.0 V). Trim values for 5 V operation are automatically loaded during Power-On Reset (POR). This Application Note demonstrates how to set the trim voltages for 3.3 Volt operation. Because PSoC Designer versions 3.10 and newer automatically generate code to set the trim settings for the selected operating voltage, projects using the latest version of PSoC Designer do not need the information in this Application Note.
