A built in MAC (Multiply/Accumulate) assists the PSoCTM MCU with digital signal-processing applications. But what if unsigned multiplication is needed? The MAC uses data in signed, 2’s-complement format. This Application Note will show that with a little understanding of signed vs. unsigned values, fast unsigned multiplication algorithms can easily be developed.
