AN2099: Single-Pole IIR Filters

Many applications require filtering data after it is in a sampled digital form. A topology for a single-pole Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filter is shown. Equations are developed and software is presented to implement this topology giving the user access to filter routines in either assembly or C.
