AN2107: A Multi-Chemistry Battery Charger

The multi-chemistry battery charger design is presented. The charger is capable of charging the Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, Li-Pol and SLA batteries without any hardware/software modifications. The dedicated PC-based software has been developed to configure the charger and perform real-time charging process visualization and analysis. This charger can be used as a standalone application to charge various battery types or embedded into consumer, home appliances or industrial applications. Alternative charger applications are studied as well.
