Electro-Luminescent Backlight Displays (EL-Displays) are commonly used as the nighttime backlighting for vehicle instrument clusters. This Application Note details a useful microcontroller configuration of the EL-Backlight Reference Design. The reference design has been created in partnership between Rogers Corporation and Cypress MicroSystems. [Details of the DUREL® device and system level implementation are available in a separate Application Note within the reference design.]
