Many applications require filtering data after it is in a sampled digital form. This was previously discussed in Application Note AN2099 - Standard - “Single-Pole IIR Filter.” A brief review of low-pass IIR filters is given. Equations are developed and software is presented to implement this topology giving the user access to filter routines in either assembly or ‘C’.
