I can't find CY8C24094 device when making a new project

Discussion of the PSoC CY8C24x94 and other PSoC like USB parts from Cypress should be discussed here. This forum is limited to the discussion of USB portion of those parts. Other forums should still be used to discuss the non USB features of these parts.

I can't find CY8C24094 device when making a new project

Hi all,

This is my first post here and I hope this is not a very noob question.

I got PSoC CY3214 from a friend to try it out. I know this is an old one, but should be ok to start with. My problem is that I installed both newest version of psoc designer and the old one which came with the board on a CD. The chip on this board is CY8C24094 24AXI... But I can not find this device in the designer (when making a new project) as Base Part.

Would be nice if you let me know how can I add this to my designer installation (in the old or new version) or maybe I can choose a similare base device??

Thanks.

Your board (CY3214) can be used to emulate a CY8C24894 or CY8C24794, or likely even a CY7C64215. Try one of those. The difference between the 794 and the 894 is a reset pin.

You might want to look at this page.
