Capsense Tips and Tricks

Hi All,
I've been trying to figure out what other parts of the PSoC config can be modified to affect the Capsense performance, (specifically CSD)
I havent been able to work out how the Capsense actually works at its lowest level in regards to what registers it modifies what RefMux it uses, if any?

Anyone have any tips or tricks for Capsense that could be of use?

Maybe...
Adding an External filter cap to ExtAGND, would this help with Capsense ?
Using a different RefMux config? such as Bandgap +- Bandgap etc to improve powersupply fluctuations,
Using a precision External reference?
