Imagecraft is it good?

Postby chaitanyab » Fri May 14, 2010 2:36 am

Hi ,

I am having PSOC Designer 5.0 free version.It has expired now.

No I am trying to Purchase the Full version.

My Processor is CY8C24423A

Following are my questions:
1.Is Imagecraft compress the code equal to Hi-Tech (40% is written in Hi-Tech)?
2.Hi-Tech is it no longer supported by PSOC?
3.Is PSOC designer 5.0 Fully free and only Image Craft is the purchasable ?
4.Is Image craft supports all JTAGs and ICE and Debugger?
5.For all PSOC version is one image craft license is sufficient?

Overall is it worth to buy this compiler?

Pls suggest :?:

To answers some of your question:
1. i used the hi-tech compiler in the past and sometimes it gave smaller code, sometimes not; for my typical usage, i consider them the same;
2. it is safe to assume hi-tech is no longer supported;
3. PSoC Designer 5.0+SP6 comes with a free Imagecraft compiler. You can purchase the Pro version of the compiler which has better compression.

Thanks Zorglub.

I will download the latest PSOC designer.

I was having the PSOC Designer 5.0 SP2.This was expired some time back.

Do you think after un-installing and installing SP6 I will be able to compile in evaluation but full version mode ?
