PSOC4 Analog Muxbus capacitance?

Postby toalan2001 » Tue Feb 04, 2014 10:00 pm

Hi,

I need more than 8 ADC inputs do I want to use the analog mux bus, the datasheets just mentions that the parasitic capacitance of the amuxbus will not allow 1MSPS, but nowhere in the datasheet do I actually see the Amux capacitance/resistance figure nor what the max ADC sample rate is when using the Amuxbus. Any help is appreciated.

You can use the ohmeter tool to get an idea of route R. Go to the cywdr file in workspace explorer,
double click, then pick analog tab lower toolbar, and the analog routing display gets shown.

Insofar as C is concerned, that number is highly subject to what is connected to the bus, You might
consider doing a measurement to step response with a external R connected to buss, and use DelSig
to compute C from the familiar RC exponential equation manipulated to determine C from measure
time from one voltage to another.
