My psoc burns!

Postby heng » Mon Dec 28, 2009 1:19 am

Hello,

I try to develop my own circuit after test on a psoc developer board.
I make a PCB, power the PSOC but not the power circuit (LED...) -> It's ok (I success to communicate with it by RS232)
But when I put the power for the led circuit, my psoc burns !

I don't understand why because it's the same circuit routed on the psoc developer board!

Do you have ideas ?

thanks
heng

Can you post the schematic for your board and let us know what part number you are using?

Hi,

My schematic is very the same has given on the evaluated board.

It appears that the problem come with the power supply. I need to power the led circuit before the microprocessor. If I follow this, my circuit works.

Heng,
Is this a PowerPSoC design? Due to the high switching current careful consideration must be taken while laying out a board for the PowerPSoC - for SREG and LED channels.
Cypress will be able to review your design files to make sure that there are no issues with it.
Please contact me at yzr@cypress.com if you would like such a review or want to discuss some logistics in this regard.
