Digital Output on FN0 pins

Postby jgoeders » Fri Mar 19, 2010 6:23 pm

Hi,

I'm using a PowerPSoC CY8CLED04DOCD1-56LTXI. I've noticed that there are 4 pins: FN0_0, FN0_1, FN0_2, FN0_3.

I am able to successfully configure them as digital inputs and read them in software using the FN0DR register. Is there any way to configure these pins as digital outputs that I can write to using software?

jgoeders,
To configure them as outputs, you will need to take the same procedure as any PRT_xx pin.
You will need to set the pin output as STRONG, STDCPU and simply write to the FN_DR register.
Let me know if you have any issues with it.

I can set the drive to STRONG.

However, in the Select list, StdCPU is not available.

The options are:
AnalogInput
CMP10
CMP11
CMP12
CMP13
CMP8
CMP9
Default
DigitalInput
MOD0
MOD1
MOD2
MOD3
VGND

I tried both Default and DigitalInput and wrote to the FN0DR register; however, neither of these worked as a Digital Output.

jgoeders,

The STDCPU is indeed not available. However, I attempted setting the pin to Default and Strong and was able to successfully write to the FN0DR register.
Can you please check the bit positioning on the FN0DR register?

Also you can manually attempt to set the FN0DMx registers.

If all this does not work, you can try sending the project to me at yzr@cypress.com and I can duplicate it using my hardware.
