How to send PSoC internal data to my desktop?

Postby sbonylean » Tue Nov 26, 2013 4:53 am

I'm trying to send converted value from ADC to my desktop computer. I guess that there is an API which can do this, but I can't find it. Any help will be appreciated.

To tell the truth, it is not as easy. PSoCs are not designed to directly communicate with a PC, but there is a way out:

Assuming that you have got a Development kit for your PSoC 5 (Hopefully an LP) there are two USB interfaces / plugs on the board. The first you are using to program and debug your kit.
The second is connected to your PSoC and you can program it to your Needs. There is a usermodule named USBUART which is from the PSoC side an USB interface and shows up on your PC like a serial interface. This you can use with a terminal-program like Hyper Terminal or any other.
The drivers have already been copied when you installed the PSoC software from CD.

Thank you, Bob. I've had a contact with the technical team of Cypress.

For other beginners of USBUART communication, this page will be a lot of help.
