4x4 Mechanical Keyboard

Postby microcej » Mon Dec 02, 2013 4:48 am

Hello Everyone:

I need to know if someone has a keyboard library for mechanical keyboards or if there is a wa, to use 4x4 mechanical keyboard with PSoC 5LP, I have dev kit -050 and 001 or where can I find information cause I could not find anything on Cypress web site.
If it can come with a menu example would be great. I'm using creator 2.2 cp 6 because I'm having problems with Creator 3.0 (don't know why).

Thank you all in advance!

Regards to all

Hi Edgar,
have a look into my KeyPad component (and how I created it) in this thread.

Hi Bob! How are so long?

Thank you,I'm going to see it right away.

Bob what do I need to know so I can build my own components on creatot 2.2 cp6? Do I have to do it with Verilog or is there another way or where can I read the necessary info?
Thank for the help Bob!

My best regards for you

Hi Bob again

I just opened the portComponent2 with creator 2.2. cp6.
Should I update components or leave it as it is?

Thank again!

Update the components.
If you do not designing for a PSoC5 but for a PSoC5 LP you should upgrade Creator to version 3.0 which is co-existent wit Creator 2.2

To build components yourself you may use macros or verilog, even mixed. There is a Component Author Guide to be found in your Cypress folder and a bunch of videos.

Hi Bob

I'm using psoc 5lp, I have dev kit -050 and the -001 both with psoc 5lp. I don't use creator 3.0 due to various errores I'm having.
I'm still studying your keyboard component and how to use it.

There is documentation (Creator, Workspace Explorer on left hand side, tab Datasheets) which will help you.
