This job requires 10+ years of experience in embedded- and analog semiconductor product applications AND technical training.

Reporting to the Sr. Director in Global Marketing & Applications, the Director of Technical Training will build a world-class program for training engineers to design effectively and self-sufficiently with PSoC-based products and solutions. This global owner of technical training will grow the loyal “expert user” base, and as a result help increase Cypress and partner FAE design wins. Primary forms of delivery are customer technical workshops and web-based on-demand training modules, with a vision for large-scale regional multi-day training events as well. The Director of Technical Training will also own program marketing and management of Cypress Sales- and Distributor FAE technical training and certification on PSoC-based products and solutions.

This program-management position requires technical aptitude in electronics/embedded systems products and applications, instructional design, and best practices for technical training delivery at large-scale events, in the classroom and online. Also critical are business-development skills for building a WW network of Authorized Training Providers - independent firms contracted withCypress to deliver training to customers in a specified locale.

Other requirements include working closely with technical-, product- and global marketing; applications managers; and FAE managers to define competencies (product architecture, design methodology, application specifics) and curriculum at the appropriate skill level for each course.

Required education and experience:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
10+ years of experience in embedded- and analog semiconductor product applications AND technical training.
Design-in, applications, technical sales, technical marketing, FAE and/or support experience are desirable.
