Category: Cypress Semiconductor
Thursday, September 17, 2009 22:07After a very long wait Cypress has officially announced a totally new PSoC platform consisting of an 8-bit 8051 based family named PSoC3 and a 32-bit ARM Cortex M3 family named PSoC5. Cypress has created landing pages on their website for these two new families (PSoC3, PSoC5) with data sheets, training materials, and software downloads. PSoC3 samples are available today and PSoC5 samples will be available in Q1 2010.
Of course here at PSoCDeveloper we have forums dedicated to these exciting new parts and look forward to welcoming many new members and doing everything we can to meet the forum needs of our long time community members. Welcome one and all to the next generation of PSoC at PSoCDeveloper.

Great, but somehow disappointing. Where are the low pin count devices - 8,14,20 pins? Without them there isn't much difference between PSOC3/5 and the other similar chips on the market
